Terry Korsiak
PRINCIPAL – M.A., MCIP, RPP
Terry Korsiak is the company President and has practiced as a professional planner since 1985. Terry oversees all aspects of the company and offers a breadth and depth of knowledge gained through overseeing the planning and approval of 1000’s of acres of land in Ontario.
Catherine McEwan
ASSOCIATE – B.A.
Catherine joined Korsiak Urban Planning in 2002 after graduating from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Mohawk College with a Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning. Catherine has been involved in a wide array of development projects across the GTA. She enjoys liaising with clients and municipal staff throughout the approvals process.
Constance Ratelle
SENIOR DESIGNER/PLANNER – MPlan, RPP
Constance obtained a Master of Planning degree in Urban Design and Development from the University of Calgary and worked as an environmental planning consultant before joining Korsiak Urban Planning as a planner and designer. She prepares planning reports, drafts zoning by-law and official plan amendments, represents our clients at the Ontario Municipal Board, and liaises with municipal and conservation authority staff on development applications in Oakville, Milton, Brampton, and Hamilton. She oversees preparation of draft plans and site plans, and works with our clients to design residential subdivisions and mixed-use concepts in Halton, Peel, Durham, York, and Ottawa. Constance is a Member in the Ontario Professional Planners Institute.
Wayne Coutinho
PLANNER – MPI, B.Sc. (Env), RPP
Wayne received a Master of Planning and Urban Development from Ryerson University, with research on Low Impact Developments to address climate change on land use planning. He conducts planning research and analysis, prepares relevant reports, and coordinates the submission of development applications. Wayne gained experience as an urban planner in the private sector with projects across southern Ontario prior to joining Korsiak. He brings 10+ years of experience as a sustainability and brownfield redevelopment professional. He provides advice on land use planning, prepares site plans and facilitates the development of resilient and complete communities. Wayne is a Member in the Ontario Professional Planners Institute.
Alison Bucking
PLANNER – B.E.S., RPP
Alison is a graduate of the Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Honours Co-operative Planning) program at the University of Waterloo. Prior to joining Korsiak, she gained experience working in both the private and public sector at the municipal level. She assists in the preparation and coordination of a variety of development applications including Official Plan Amendments, Zoning By-law Amendments, Draft Plan of Subdivisions, Site Plans and Minor Variances. Alison is a Member in the Ontario Professional Planners Institute.
Connor Rudka
JUNIOR PLANNER – MA
Connor joined Korsiak in 2022 as a Junior Urban Planner. He is involved in the management, execution and submission of development applications for clients with commercial, industrial and residential projects across the GTA. Prior to joining Korsiak, he worked in both the private sector for developers and in the municipal public sector. Connor previously also worked as an intern at Korsiak. Connor obtained a Masters of Arts in Urban Planning from the University of Waterloo.
Mackenzie Farrant
JUNIOR PLANNER/DESIGNER – BURPI
Mackenzie obtained a diploma from Mohawk College’s Urban and Regional Planning Technician program, and later graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor’s in Urban and Regional Planning. He then joined Korsiak Urban Planning as a Junior Planner, working with clients to prepare and coordinate planning applications and project design. Mackenzie prepares draft Zoning By-law and Official Plan Amendment applications, Minor Variance applications, planning reports, and further assists in the design of Draft Plan of Subdivisions and Site Plans.
Katelyn Capone
SENIOR PLANNING TECHNICIAN – B.Sc., CPT
Katelyn is a graduate of McMaster University’s Bachelor of Environmental Science program as well as Mohawk College’s Urban and Regional Planning program. Katelyn is a member of the Canadian Association of Certified Planning Technicians. She assists with all aspects of design including the preparation of concept plans, draft plans, site plans and other graphics. Katelyn also undertakes research on a variety of projects and assists with the preparation of development applications.
Sam Phat
PLANNING TECHNICIAN – B.E.S.
Sam is a graduate of York University’s Bachelor of Environmental Studies program as well as Mohawk College’s Urban and Regional Planning Geographic Information Systems program. Sam is currently working towards her Certified Planning Technician designation. She assists with various design projects including concept plans, draft plans and site plans. Sam also produces graphics and materials for reports and presentations.
Susan Korsiak
ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
Susan oversees and manages all administrative aspects of the company including finance, operations, and human resources.
Kara Hall
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Kara joined Korsiak Urban Planning in 2021 as the Administrative Assistant. After graduating from the Office Administration – Executive (Co-op) program at Niagara College, she worked in a variety of administrative roles in both the municipal and private sector. Kara’s key responsibilities include invoicing and assisting in the preparation of reports and design briefs. She happily takes on any other tasks as needed to support the team.
